Earth Day at UC Davis

Celebrate Earth Day

Join us to honor and celebrate our remarkable planet on this extraordinary day. Earth Day is a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability, encouraging us to come together and take action for a healthier planet and brighter future. This year it is officially on Monday, April 22, 2024 but at UC Davis we celebrate the day, the week and the month!

At UC Davis, Earth Day events can highlight sustainable efforts happening across all of our campuses from natural resource conservation and recycling, to social sustainability topics including community development and human rights. You also may be interesting in celebrating Earth Day by participating in any or all of EARTHDAY.ORG's initiatives.

    2020
In April 2020, UC Davis – led by the Sustainability office in collaboration with other departments across the university – celebrated the 50-year anniversary of Earth Day with Earth Month, a series of events and initiatives beginning April 1 and concluding the last day of the Whole Earth Festival, Sunday, May 10 – Mother’s Day. We shifted events from in person to online in response to the pandemic.
